The Manchester City midfielder has blanked only once in his five outings at the Etihad Stadium, scoring twice and supplying two assists.

His visitors Liverpool, meanwhile, have yet to keep a clean sheet in their six away matches this season.

Foden takes his place in a team that line up in a 3-4-3 formation, with Erling Haaland (£14.0m) handed the armband and Son Heung-min (£9.7m) named vice-captain.

Scout Selection
Sam Johnstone (Crystal Palace) £4.6m

Crystal Palace’s goalkeeper boasts strong form on the road ahead of a visit to Luton Town. Johnstone has 19 points in his last three away matches, combining two clean sheets with three save points and four bonus points.

Gabriel (Arsenal) £4.8m

His aerial threat at set-pieces suggests Arsenal's Brazilian can cause big problems for his hosts Brentford. The Bees have conceded 33 headed shots this season, a total better than only four other sides.

Nayef Aguerd (West Ham) £4.5m

West Ham United’s centre-back has produced seven headed shots in 2023/24, only one off the summit among defenders. His hosts Burnley, meanwhile, rank fourth-bottom for that same statistic in the last four Gameweeks, lifting Aguerd’s chances of attacking returns.

Rayan Ait-Nouri (Wolves) £4.5m

The left-back has stepped up his all-round attacking influence ahead of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ visit to Fulham. Ait-Nouri has produced seven shots and seven key passes in the last six Gameweeks, ranking among Wolves' top three players on both counts.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) £13.0m

Liverpool’s Egyptian has blanked only twice on his way to the top of the player standings, amassing 101 points thanks to 10 goals and four assists. Salah scored in both his meetings with Man City last season and is among the best captain options for Gameweek 13.

Son Heung-min (Spurs) £9.7m

The Tottenham Hotspur star’s potential for huge hauls could be ominous for his visitors Aston Villa. Son has averaged 8.2 points per match since being moved up front, delivering 10+ points in four of those nine fixtures.

Phil Foden (Man City) £7.5m

His 12 chances created and five shots in the box both put him among Man City’s top two players in home matches.

Mohammed Kudus (West Ham) £6.5m

West Ham’s summer signing has the potential to exploit a Burnley side who have conceded an average of three goals per home match. Kudus delivered a double-figure haul in his first away start of the season in Gameweek 11, producing a goal and an assist at Brentford.

Erling Haaland (Man City) £14.0m

His total of 23 big chances is at least 19 more than any team-mate, underlining Haaland’s role as the focal point of Man City’s attack. The Norwegian looks back to his very best for the Liverpool encounter, producing two goals, an assist and 16 points on two occasions in his last three outings.

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) £8.5m

The Villa forward can take advantage of a Spurs defence who could be without three of their first-choice back four. In away matches, Watkins’ 16 shots, 15 shots in the box and five big chances are all more than any team-mate.

Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth) £6.4m

Two goals against Newcastle United have taken him to fourth place in the forward standings on 56 points. Solanke can maintain that form as AFC Bournemouth visit a Sheffield United side who have conceded a league-high 24 big chances in home matches.
