The 28-year-old left-back hasn't been available since August because of a muscle issue, but the club have announced today that he is working with the main group ahead of Man Utd's return to Premier League action.
They take on Everton at Goodison Park this Sunday at 16:30 GMT.
Shaw has only featured in two Premier League matches this season, against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur.
Man Utd have had to come up with several solutions at left-back while he has recovered from injury.
Sergio Reguilon, signed from Spurs on loan, has deputised, while Sofyan Amrabat, Diogo Dalot and Victor Lindelof have also filled in this season.
Man Utd still have a number of injury issues though.
Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund were added to the list after they suffered respective knee and muscle injuries in Man Utd's 1-0 win against Luton Town before the international break. Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Jonny Evans, Casemiro and Amad Diallo are all absent too.
Manager Erik ten Hag will also be suspended for the trip to Goodison Park, serving a touchline ban because he received a third yellow card this season against Luton.
However, Man Utd head into Sunday's match having won four of their last five league matches, earning more points than any other Premier League side in that period.
