Toad Stool

Inspired by my daughter’s fairy gardens, this “Toad Stool” is made using spalted hackberry. The white spots are carved into the seat through the red paint to expose the white spalted grain and giving the seat a tactile experience. The underside is also carved to reflect the gills of a mushroom with a small carved frog climbing the leg. Finished with paint and liming wax.
