One word encapsulated it all.

A first Premier League title was about to slip agonisingly through Manchester City’s fingers. Level on points with their greatest rivals Manchester United going into the final day of the season, City were 2-1 down as the 90 minutes ticked in. United had won their game. The Premier League crown was slipping. 

In four minutes, everything changed. 

Breathless, exhausting, nerve-jangling.  

And then, for the blue half of Manchester, pure euphoria. 

All encapsulated by a talismanic striker who grew up 4,000 miles away, and whose name will forever be written into Premier League legend.
