Millions of Fantasy Premier League managers endured a disappointing start to Gameweek 8 as the second most-captained player, Son Heung-min (£9.4m), blanked.
Six goals across his previous four outings coupled with a favourable fixture away to Luton Town prompted a wave of support for the Tottenham Hotspur star, who was backed by over 1.7million people with the armband.
Only Erling Haaland (£14.1m) has been captained in greater numbers in a Gameweek this season.
Of the top 100 managers, only 23 went for Haaland, with 39 going for Son, who has also been Triple-Captained by more than 34,000.
